Dear Sir,
I am writing this mail to bring to your kind notice that I will not be able to attend the interview scheduled on 5th of December, 2011 at 10 AM, by your HR department for the post of DBA. Please accept my sincere apology for the same.
Yesterday night I met an accident and had a hair line fracture in my ankle. The doctor has advised me complete bed rest for next 15 days and due to which I will not be able to present myself at the scheduled interview and feel very sorry for the same.
It is my earnest request to please reschedule this interview after 15 days that is on the 20th of December, 2011 as I am very eager to work in organization like yours.
I was really looking forward towards this interview as I think that my skill set and educational qualifications match up perfectly with the requirements of the post. I can assure you that if selected, I will work to the best of my capabilities and will bring success to the organization.
I hope you will consider my request and if you require, I can mail the doctor’s certificate as well. Thank you for your time and will be looking forward towards your reply.
